Colorspace management handled by OpenColorIO. 32 bits floating point linear color processing pipeline. It is clear that Nvidia (at the moment) will have better performance in HF because they are optimized for it, but it is known that this AMD card is performing (sometimes) better than the Nvidia one. I contacted with the HF support team and they told me that " HitFilm does include hardware decoding for video for NVIDIA cards, which does give them an advantage for some things, since hardware decoding for AMD cards is still in the works and not yet available" and that HF does not take advantage of CUDA. 
Nvidia works with CUDA cores and have RT cores and AI e.t.c and AMD runs a different architecture.
I thought that the best options for my budget and setup are the following:īoth are very equally positioned in terms of performance WHEN PLAYING VIDEOGAMES but have different architectures. Specially since I found out that there were different GPU architectures for the most common GPU brands (Nvidia and AMD) and the fact that Hitfilm is GPU based so I must pay attention when buying a GPU for it. I am having difficulties on choosing a GPU that fit my budget. I just upgraded my old Z600 HP machine and moved to a new custom PC with an i9 9900K, 32Gb RAM e.t.cīut I have not bought a new GPU to replace the 1050ti.
